Rafting is a group sport, where people who go on the boat must coordinate to row and move according to what the movement of water and stones allow, and how the leader needs it to avoid turning around and going down security. It is recommended that people who just start in this sport feel in the middle of the boat, and leave the edges and tips for those who have experience.<\/p>\n
To practice rafting you need a team that includes a boat, a helmet, life jackets, oars, and a special suit that isolates the cold, since it takes place in the South of the continent, where the wind and water are at low temperatures. The complete equipment is provided by the tourism agency that you choose, who also transfer it to the point where the descent in water will be developed.<\/p>\n
Before embarking, it is good to check the rivers in the area and choose one suitable for the personal level, to avoid accidents and to enjoy the landscape in an optimal way. The river categories are from 1 to 6, and in Chile the rivers are mostly category 3 or 4, with the exception of B\u00edo-B\u00edo and Futaleuf\u00fa, which have category 5 rapids, that is, Expert.<\/p>\n
