At the end of the American continent, next to the Strait of Magellan, is the main city of Patagonia: Punta Arenas, Chile.
In the center of Punta Arenas is one of the oldest buildings in Patagonia, the centenary Mansion of Don José Nogueira and Doña Sara Braun, two characters who “wrote” the history of Patagonia with their adventures.
In this historic place, declared a National Monument, a small and exclusive 25-room hotel was set up in that pioneer era. With the restriction of respecting the available spaces, some rooms of the Hotel were more spacious and others smaller, but all finely decorated, highlighting three suites.

The Hotel José Nogueira has three suites and 22 rooms, all with excellent bathrooms and finely decorated with stylish furniture, minibar, direct dial telephone, cable TV, safe and PC connection to the telephone network. We also offer the FAX, E-mail and Internet service. The hotel suites also have a Jacuzzi and a comfortable living room to provide greater comfort.
Hotel José Nogueira restores a mansion declared National Monument for its operation. In order not to modify the structure of the building, the available spaces were adapted and not all the rooms are exactly the same as the others, resulting in some more spacious and others smaller, but each of them with a personality and its own characteristics, all of them high quality level. This particularity of the Hotel José Nogueira is extended to the guests, each of whom receives a totally personalized attention, far from the overcrowding that usually surrounds us.
The restaurant of the Hotel José Nogueira has two dining rooms and the Winter Garden or “Pergola”. The first two preserve the original furniture, lamps and curtains of the mansion, and in the Pergola you can dine enjoying the long days of summer, with natural light until 11 PM. The quality of the food has deserved praise in the specialized magazines. Here you can try typical Patagonian and international food.
